William Valerio, 80, of Meridian, passed away Thursday, June 01, 2017 , surrounded by his family, at Auburn Community Hospital. William was born in Wampsville, NY, the son of the late Antonio Valerio, and, Hazel Hiltz Valerio. He was a life long dairy farmer , working at the Valerio Farms in the Town of Cato. He enjoyed farming, fishing, and spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Shirley VanDoren Valerio, two daughters; Charlette (Len) Przybylski of Texas, Felicia (Dan) Darling of Hannibal, a son, Cameron Valerio of Meridian, two grandchildren; Nathaniel Loveland and Magen Darling of Hannibal, six brothers and sisters; Albert Valerio, Marion VanPelt, Dorothy Wilkinson, Jimmy Valerio, Tony (Sally) Valerio, Ron (Debbie) Valerio, and, Paul (Danice) Valerio.

Besides his parents, he is predeceased by five brothers and sisters.

The family would like to thank the staff of the Auburn Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center, and the Auburn Community Hospital for their exceptional care during the Valerio family's time of need.
