North Rose
North Rose - It is with heavy hearts; we announce the passing of William (Bill) Moore who left us on Saturday 10/24/2026 at the age of 85.
Bill was born May 10, 1941, the only son of Wallace and Carolyn Moore. He was a 1959 graduate from North Rose High School. Bill was a member of the FFA (Future Farmers of America) in High School and began his adult life as a farmer working a small farm in North Rose. After several years of farming, he eventually found his calling and became his own boss as an over-the-road driver owning his own tractor trailer delivering freight across the country. He was a member of North Rose Fire Department for 50+ years. A hardworking man with a quiet strength, he devoted his life to providing for his family. He shared 50 years of marriage with his loving wife Nancy, building a life rooted in love, resilience, and commitment. Between the two of them they had seven children and their legacy continues through their 25 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren, all of whom brought him immense pride and joy.
When Bill wasn’t working, he could be found tinkering around the yard soaking up the sunshine or reading a book quietly on the porch. Bill is loved by family and friends for his tireless work ethic, his deep love for family, humor and quick-witted comments.
Bill is survived by his wife Nancy, Children: Michael (Shannon) Moore, Randy Moore, Tim (Phyllis) Moore, Jackie (Andy) Howell, Dan (Natalie) Yates, Christina (Stephen) Parks. Sisters: Mary Durham of North Rose, Norma Tomlinson of Palatka Fl.
