Obituary

Wayne J. Eygnor, 85, of Wolcott, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, February 1, 2022, at his home.  He was born at home in Huron, October 06, 1936.  As a young man, Wayne, worked on the family farm & dairy (Eygnor's Dairy).  He later was the "milk man" delivering milk and then drove school bus for a few years.  Prior to retirement he was employed for over 30 years at Xerox Corporation in Webster.  Wayne was a 64-year member of the Wolcott Volunteer Fire Department.  He also was a member of BPOE 1763 in Wolcott for 43 years; serving 1 year as Exalted Ruler.  Following his retirement, he became the greenskeeper at Port Bay Golf Course.  Wayne worked for many years at the Wolcott Cold Storage during apple harvest after his retirement and delivered parts in the evenings for Lakeland Equipment in Savannah for over 14 years.

Wayne had many friends and always had great times with "the guys" over coffee and on "Hot Dog Tuesdays".  He was an avid snowmobiler his entire life up until he decided he was "too old" when he turned 80.  He enjoyed multiple snowmobiling trips over the years with family and friends to include West Yellowstone, Alaska, Upper Peninsula Michigan, Maine and of course, Tug Hill.  If not working, you could find Wayne tending to his lawn or snow blowing the driveway and an occasional round of golf with "the guys".

He is predeceased by his wife; JoAnn King Eygnor, brother; Ronald Eygnor, and brother in-law; John "Jack" Sparnon.

Wayne is survived by his daughters; Kelly (Daryl Bentley) Eygnor of Rose, Bonnie Sennett of Scotia, and Sandra (Steve) Byrne of Brockport; brother, Paul (Nancy) Eygnor of Webster, sister; MaryAnn Sparnon of Wolcott, and four grandchildren: Abigail Knapp, Callahan (Grace Donalds) Knapp, Shawn Paylor, and Christina (VanDitto) Warter, as well as several nieces, nephews, 4 great grandchildren and many many friends.  Wayne was deeply loved and will be missed tremendously by his family and friends.
