Walter Burgess Jr., 82, of Wolcott, passed away July 13, 2023, at Crouse Hospital. He was born in

Syracuse the son of the late Walter Burgess Sr. and Mary Wallace Burgess.

Walt is survived by his wife of 63 years, Karen Flint Burgess, and their three sons: Joel (Connie) Burgess

of Barneveld, Andrew (Valerie) Burgess of Uniontown, PA, and Luke (Lori) Burgess of Fair Haven. He is also

survived by his brother, Kenneth (Sally) Burgess of FL, as well as his sisters, Jacqueline Roets of Newark

and Carol Freeman of Indianapolis, IN. He was blessed with ten grandchildren and four great-

grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will take place on Tuesday, July 18, from 12:30PM-2:30PM at the Becker-Keysor Funeral

Home, Red Creek, with a service immediately following. His burial at N. Wolcott Cemetery will follow the
