Suzanne L. McKinley Ray, 74, of Meridian, passed away Wednesday, January 28, 2026. She was born in Syracuse, daughter of the late Francis McKinley, and the late Dorothy Sayer McKinley Foltz. She was director of Parks and Recreation for the City of Canandaigua for years prior to retirement. She graduated with a master's in fine arts from Suny Oswego. She enjoyed photography and watercolors. Sue was an active volunteer at Beaver Lake Nature Center, and for local rabbit rescues.

She is predeceased by stepfather, Wayne Foltz, sister, Kathleen Donaghey.

Survived by her husband, Eric Ray, brother, Ronald McKinley, sisters, Jacqueline Hinman, and Judy Fedrizzi, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be Monday, February 9, 2:00-4:00, a celebration of life will follow at the Beaver Lake Nature Center, 8477 E. Mud Lake Road, Baldwinsville, NY 13027, burial will take place in the spring at Meridian Monumental Cemetery. www.catoredcreek.com
