Ruth Jean Burmingham, 85, of Cato, passed away Friday, December 12, 2025. She was born in Syracuse, daughter of the late William E. Samuels, and the late Ruth M. Bakowski. She enjoyed crocheting, word search, coloring, sewing, and reading. Prior to retirement she was a registered nurse at St. Joseph's Hospital.

She is predeceased by her husband, Larry James Burmingham, siblings, David Samuels, and Kathleen DenHaese.

Survived by her son, James Burmingham, as well as nieces and nephews.

There will be no calling hours or service. Arrangements are in care of the Keysor-Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home, Cato.
