Phyllis H. Lyon, 79, formerly of Cato, passed away Sunday, February 16, at the Commons in Auburn. She was born in Auburn, June 20, 1945, daughter of the late Jay Lyon, and Harriet Lyon. She loved knitting, crocheting, and flowers. Prior to retirement she had worked at Syroco in Baldwinsville in payroll.

Phyllis is predeceased by her brother, Roy Lyon.

She is survived by her children, Cindy Stampp of Auburn, Robert (Agnes) Stampp of Weedsport, brother, James (Patricia) Lyon of North Carolina, sister, Maverete (Carl) Lincoln of Cato, granddaughter, Melissa Stampp,  many nieces and nephews, as well as her very dear friend, Linda Cuff.

The family would like to thank the nurses and staff on the second floor of the Commons for their care and compassion.

Calling hours will be held Thursday, February 20,  2:00-4:00 at the Keysor-Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home, Cato. Burial and service will take place at an undetermined time in the spring at Cato Union Cemetery.
