Michael D. Laird, 76, of Wolcott, passed away peacefully at his home, Friday, February 20, 2026. He was born in Sodus, February 10, 1950, son of the late Robert Laird Sr., and the late Norma Ranney Laird. Prior to retirement he worked as a mechanic at Governors Chevrolet, farm maintenance at Wegmans Egg Farm, and a truck driver for Sunnycrest. He was also a first responder as an EMT and founding member of WAVAC, he was also a longtime member and assistant chief of Wolcott Volunteer Fire Department. He enjoyed cars, racing, farming, camping, and picnics with his family.

He is predeceased by his siblings, Jerry Laird, Mark Laird, and Darryl Laird.

Survived by his daughter, Michelle (James Bullock) Eagley, son, Andrew Laird, stepchildren, Carrie (Brad) Milton, Russell Farrell, and Joshua Farrell, sisters, Margaret (David) Richmond, Deborah (Jose) Caraballo brother, Robert Laird Jr., grandchildren, Christian Laird, Cameron Laird, Ty Eagley, Madison Eagley, great granddaughter, Moxley Rose Eagley-Quintana.
