Mary "Alice" Veley Kinzie, 90, of Auburn, NY, formerly of Cato, NY, passed away October 3, 2018 at home after a long illness. She was predeceased by her husband Karl in 1999, her son Charles in 2017 and a grandson Kevin in 1992. She is survived by three daughters and a son, Betty Kinzie, Cathy (Carl Siefring) Kinzie, Steven Kinzie and Nancy Kinzie; and three grandsons, William Kinzie, Evan Siefring, and Kyle Siefring; her brother Rev. Robert E. (Marilyn) Veley; and several nieces and grand-nephews and nieces. She was a member of Second Baptist Church in Auburn and formerly Cato Union Church. She graduated from Cato-Meridian High School, attended what was then called State Teacher's College in Oswego before graduating as a LPN from Ithaca School of Nursing after which she had a series of job before her marriage. She and Karl began married life in Baldwinsville and later the young family moved to her parents' farm in Cato, which they purchased when her parents retired from farming to serve the Lord. In later years she enjoyed being useful by taking jobs helping others. She drove SCAT Van for a few years and was very interested in local history.  A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 26th at 11 am at Second Baptist Church, 1 North Herman Avenue, Auburn, NY.Arrangements are in care of the Keysor-Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home, Cato.
