Marjorie McDonald, 87, of Cato, passed away Tuesday, July 16, 2024, at her home. She was born in Cortland, January 5, 1937. She loved bowling, baking, bird watching, caring for her cats, SU Basketball and tending to her own and others gardens.

She is predeceased by her husband, Edward H. McDonald, daughters, Linda J. McDonald, and Susan McDonald-Gilmore, as well as brothers Richard Fitts and Kenneth Fitts.

Survived by her daughter, Patricia Woods of Weedsport, sister, Peggy (Earl) Kent of Sennett, brother, Raymond (Carolyn) Fitts of Weston, West Virginia, grandchildren, Linda S. McDonald, Noah Woods, Claire Woods, and Emily Woods, as well as three great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.

Per her request, there will be no calling or service. There will be a Celebration of Life held at Mott Park in Cato, 2564 Millard Ave., Cato, NY, Sunday, August 18, 1:00-3:00 PM, For those wishing to make contributions in her name they may do so to the CIVIC Heritage Historical Society, 11256 South St., Cato, NY, 13033. Arrangements are in care of the Keysor-Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home, Cato.
