Margaret J. Muhlnickel, 91, of Cato, passed away Friday, September 13, 2024. She was born in Auburn, NY, daughter of the late Charles Carris and late Margaret Miskell Carris. She attended St. Alphonsus Catholic School until 8th grade and then was a graduate of Port Byron High School in1951. She enjoyed quilting, doll collections, traveling, especially Las Vegas. She also enjoyed visiting the local casinos (now she is forever playing with house money) and bowling.

She is predeceased by her husband of 50 years Herbert Muhlnickel, sister Helen Louise Carris, brother, Charles E. Carris, niece Andera Ritchie, who was the watch dog of the three Sisters on their Las Vegas trips. grand dog Marvin, and her dog Snoopy.

She is survived by her sister Carol Aubin and sister-in-law Joan Muhlnickel. Her children, Tony (Marianne) Muhlnickel, Chery Cole, Peggy (Jamie). Grandchildren Jeffrey (Alison) Muhlnickel, Michael (Ericka)Muhlnickel, Sarah Bishop, Kali (Mario) Sacco, and Lisa Cole (Ryan Ross). Great grandkids, Hayden, Harper, Hope, Jasper, Flora, Jackson, and Nora, and her grand puppies, Gertie, Mable, Murphy, Fauna, Sydney and Skye.

Calling hours will be Thursday, October 3, 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the Keysor-Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home, in Cato, a Catholic funeral will be Friday, October 4, 10:30 AM at the St. Partick Church, Cato, 2576 Mechanic Street Cato, NY 13033. Followed by interment at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Auburn, NY. Donations may be made to Lolly Pop Farms 99 Victor Road Victor, NY 14450 or St. Patrick's Church.
