Margaret Kellar Crocker, 99, 1920-2019, passed away at Wayne County Nursing Home on February 11, 2019. Born in Ellisburg, to the late Manford Kellar and Mary Richards Kellar.

She is survived by 3 children, 2 daughters, and 1 son, Florence (Leslie) Lash of Red Creek, Joyce (Richard) Lash of Red Creek, Robert (Clara) Crocker of Sterling, 10 Grand children, 14 Great grand children, 9 Great great grand children and many nieces and nephews.

Margaret was predeceased by her husband Winfield (1998), her brothers and sisters, and two of her great grand sons.

Even at 98, Margaret was still playing cards with her family and winning almost every game. Her many grandchildren remember celebrating Christmas time with games and gift exchanges. Margaret enjoyed crocheting and tending to her flower and vegetable gardens. Margaret and Winfield had a neighborhood veggie stand for many years and enjoyed meeting their neighbors.

Margaret came to be called Mom by so many including every aide at nursing home because she was a very loving person to all around her including family, friends, and neighbors. She would do anything she could for anyone she knew. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Calling hours will be Thursday February 14th, 2019 from 4pm until 6pm at the Becker-Keysor Funeral Home in Red Creek, NY. Friends and family will gather together at the Red Creek United Methodist Church afterwards. Burial will take place in the spring at Huron Evergreen Cemetery, Wolcott. www.catoredcreek.com
