Madelyn Mein, 85, a resident of Clyde passed away Tuesday, February 14, 2017, at Newark Hospital. Madelyn was born in Malone, on August 19, 1931, the daughter of the late Howard and Jenny Avery. She lived in various places and worked as an RN for over 50 years, ended her nursing career by retiring from the Wayne County Nursing Home. Madelyn enjoyed reading, smoking cigarettes, drinking coffee, and spending time with her family.

She is pre deceased by her husband, Edward T. Mein (1999), a daughter, Paula Saji, and a sister, Dorothy Forkey.

Madelyn is survived by eleven children, Linda (Gordy) Lyke, James (Kimberly) Mein, Karen (David) Copp, David (Barbara) Mein, Robert (Cindy) Mein, Diana VanDyke, Peter Mein, Barry Mein, Marc (Melissa) Mein, Richard Mein, Scott (Barb) Mein, and a brother-in-law Mike Forkey, as well as 24 grandchildren, and 25 great grandchildren.

Calling hours will be Saturday, February 18, 2017, at the Becker-Keysor Funeral Home, from 11:00-1:00 with a service at 1:00 at the funeral home, spring burial will take place at Southside Cemetery at an undetermined date.
