Lois A. Jetty, 92, formerly of St. Frances Commons in Oswego, passed away Thursday, December 22, 2016 at Crouse Hospital. Lois was born in Pompey, NY to the late Volney K. and Floy Burgess. She was mother of many foster children over a fifteen year span, she was a girl scout leader, a member of the Curfew club in Ira Station as well as a member of the Tops Club. She enjoyed baking , gardening and spending time with her family.

She was predeceased by her husband , Clarence L. Jetty (2001), as well as two brothers, Volney Burgess, and Edward Burgess, and her three sisters, Edith Nash, Ruth Carey, and Doris Jennings.

Lois is survived by her daughter, Doreen (Randy)McCoy of Wolcott, and a son, Adrian (Marta) Jetty of Lysander, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Lois's life will take place January 07, at 1:00 at the Lysander Fire Department,664 Lamson Rd, Lysander, NY 13027 . Burial will take place at Weedsport Cemetery in the spring at an undetermined date.
