Kathy
Hampton
Feb 19, 1949 — Mar 25, 2025
Weedsport
Kathy D. (Wentworth) Hampton, 76, of Weedsport, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, March 25, 2025 with her loving family by her side. She was born on February 19, 1949, in Brockport, NY, daughter of the late Andrew and Helen Richey Wentworth. Kathy dedicated her life to the Hampton Family Farm located in Ira, NY. Kathy also worked for many years as a Court Clerk ending her career at Salina Town Court in 2019. She was strong, courageous, determined, funny, gentle-hearted and well respected by all. She enjoyed being a mother to not only her children but to so many in her community. So many called her "Ma" right to the end! She was not afraid to begin her next journey and truthfully, a bit too excited to be reunited with her loved ones, she had longed to meet again! In the short time before she slipped away, we had more laughs than we did tears, and that was Kathy!
She is predeceased by her brother and sister-n-law, Richard & Janet Wentworth. Son, Wright K Hampton (Kemper), Grandsons, Raiden Alexander Burke and Jericho Bond.
Survived by her husband, Curtis K. Hampton, sons Roger, Bart & (Marsha) Hampton. Daughters DeBrenda & (William) Bracy, Cammie & (Jamey) Bond. Brother William & (Lynn)Wentworth, Grandchildren Megan, Dustin, Peyton, Logan, Kayliegh, Kodie, Brianna and Gabrielle. Great-grandchildren Tucker, Maddy, Julien, Dallas, Denver, Xavier and Zayden. Her fur babies Chizel and Taz! Her dearest friend Barb Mein, her favorite nephew Michael Wentworth, who mom loved with her whole heart!
We would like to sincerely thank all the amazing Dr's, Nurses and staff that cared for Kathy during her stay at St. Joseph's Hospital.
Per Kathy's wishes there are no calling hours. However, a celebration of Life is set for Saturday, April 26, 2025 at 1:00 to 5:00pm, at the Ira Fire Department, 12591 State Route 176, Cato, NY.
