Jon R. Stahl, 84, of Meridian, passed away Thursday, March 21, 2019, at his home surrounded by his family who loved him. Born and raised, Jon's first love was farming, but was employed as a mechanic at De Veau Ford Tractor Inc. in Syracuse, as well as Plainville Turkey Farm until retirement. He enjoyed his most loved hobbies, driving and showing his horses and mules, gardening with his wife, Fran, and coming up with inventive ways of fixing whatever needed to be fixed.

He is survived by his wife Frances Williams Stahl, and being one of six brothers, his only surviving brother, Roger and his wife Terry Stahl of Georgia, daughters, Christie Stahl Pope of Cato, Lori  Keysor of Weedsport, step children, Jeannie & Kelly Murphy of Skaneateles, Richard & Laura Walton of Weedsport, Andrew & Stacey Walton of Martville, and his grandchildren, Shayna Burghdorf of Hannibal, Derek Keysor of Weedsport, as well as several great grandchildren.

A calling hour will take place Sunday, March 24, from 1:00-2:00 with a service at 2:00 at the Keysor-Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home , Cato. www.catoredcreek.com

Knowing our father, in memory of the type of man he was, a blizzard is predicted on the day of his service. If he were here, I know he would say, "I appreciate your coming, but keep yourselves safe first."
