John R. Stampp, 78, formerly of Auburn, passed away Tuesday at The Commons at St. Anthony Nursing Home in Auburn.
Born in Baldwinsville, on June 22, 1937, the son of the late Arthur Stampp, and Olive Martin Stampp. John was a Veteran of the United States Army. He was employed for many years at General Electric, and then Lockheed Martin in Syracuse. John enjoyed spending time with family, traveling, and puzzles.
Besides his parents John was predeceased by one sister, Marian, two brothers, Roy Stampp and George Stampp.
He is survived by a son Robert (Agnes) Stampp of Weedsport, and a daughter, Cindy Stampp of Weedsport. One granddaughter Melissa Stampp and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will take place 11:00 AM Saturday at the Keysor-Dain-Cullinan Funeral Service, with a funeral service to follow at 12:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will take place at River View cemetery in Baldwinsville immediately following the service.
