John (Jack) Skinner, 103, of Wolcott, NY passed away on Wednesday, January 19, 2022. He spent the last three years being well-cared for at the Wayne County Nursing Home- Garden Valley wing. Before that time Jack was a 75 year resident of Wolcott, NY. Jack was born in Lyons, NY on October 9th 1918. He married Katherine Palmer Skinner on February 14th 1942. Shortly after their marriage Jack served in the US Navy as a Machinist Mate 1st class from 1942-1945. After the Navy, he and Katherine settled on Draper Street in Wolcott, and had two sons. He worked at his father-in-law's grocery store in Wolcott, until the mid-sixties, when the store closed. Then he worked at Xerox as an electrician until 1981. Jack was recently given the 75 year membership award from the American Legion. He was a loving husband, father,
grandfather great-grandfather, and friend. His laugh, smile, twinkling blue eyes and wise cracks will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Jack is preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Katherine Palmer Skinner as well as 2 brothers and 1 sister.

He is survived by sons Terry Skinner (Kim) (Dallas, TX) and Howard Skinner (Laurie) (Wolcott, NY), grandchildren Sara Skinner Probst (Ken) (Orlando, FL), Johnathan Skinner (Becky) (Williamson, NY), 4 great grandchildren Markus, Katherine, Jackson, and Baby Skinner, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, May 28, at 11 AM at the Farnsworth-Keysor Funeral Home in North Rose, followed by burial at Glenside Cemetery, Wolcott.
