John C. Powers, 73, of Red Creek, passed away Monday, November 14, 2022. He was born in Oswego, son of the late Harry Powers, and Virginia Foster Powers. He was an Airforce Veteran and after being honorably discharged he became a carpenter and worked for local carpenters' union, recently receiving recognition for 50 years of membership. He enjoyed travelling, cycling, motor-biking, home brewing, waterskiing, camping, running, grilling, and wintering at their home in Gulfport Fl. He loved surrounding himself with family and friends.  The Powers home was frequently the center of gatherings, parties and celebrations.  He loved his church family locally and in Florida.  His beautiful singing voice will be missed by all.

He is predeceased by his twin brother, Jeffrey Powers, brother-in-law, John Scott.

Survived by his wife of 50 years, Bonnie J. Adams, daughter, Kelly (Lisa) Powers of Wolcott, son, Alan (Jennifer Sandquist) Powers of Golden Colorado, brother, Thomas (Joan) Powers of Crossville Tennessee, sisters, Gloria Scott of Winter Springs Fl., Shirley (Michael Guthrie) Baldwin Gulfport Fl., mother-in-law, Arlene Adams, as well as several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will take place at an undetermined date in the Spring of 2023.
