John R. Decker, 68, of Brewerton, formerly of Sterling, passed away Tuesday, June 23, 2020, at St. Josephs Hospital. He was born in Auburn, son of the late Ralph Decker, and Laura Liddle Decker. Prior to retirement, he was employed at Reckitt and Benckiser in Wolcott. He enjoyed nature, his family, and spending time with his Grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Florence Brown Decker, daughters, Nicole (Ben) Hunt of West Amboy, Mary (Troy) Capteina of Sterling, sons, John (Liz) Decker of Newark, and Josh (Holly) Syrell, two brothers, Ralph Decker of Sterling, and, Loren Decker of Fair Haven, sisters, Lillian (Rick) Lawrence of South Carolina, Grandchildren, Heather Hunt, Benjamin Hunt, Halie Hunt, Rosie Capteina, Troy Capteina, Jr., Kayla Syrell, as well as several nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
