Joan L. Merrill, 81, passed away Tuesday, March 28, 2023, at home. She was born in Auburn, to the late Cleaver Dodge, and Leona Cooper Dodge.

Joan had been employed at the Red Creek Central School District for 25 years. After retirement she enjoyed traveling with her husband, George, and children, going to camp and her grandchildren's sport programs and collecting Boyd's bears along the way, and dog Chloe.

Survived by one daughter, Anne (Dyton) Humbert, son, Duane Merrill, grandchildren, Jenna Beach of NC, Dyton Jeffrey, and Ethan Humbert both of Martville, brother, Larry (Dorothy) Dodge of Florida, and there three daughters Cindy, Pam, and Sandy and their children.

Joan was predeceased by her husband, George in 2014 and daughter Amy Merrill in 2020.

Calling hours will be Monday, April 3, 12:00-2:00 with a service at 2:00 at the Keysor-Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home, Cato, burial will follow at the Victory Union Cemetery.
