Jean M. White, "Little Grandma," 82, of Memphis, NY, passed away at Wednesday, October 5, surrounded by her loving family. Jean was born on August 5, 1934 in Cato, to Barbara and Walter Calkins. A 1952 graduate of Cato Meridian high school, Jean married Henry White on October 12, 1957. She was predeceased by sons Mike Woods and Pat White, and a brother Richard Calkins. In addition to her husband she is survived by her sons; Doug (Barb) White, Andy (Amy) White, daughter in law Misti White, brother John (Bobbie) Calkins; grandchildren Justin (Sara), Jessica, Nathaniel, Bayleigh, Hunter, Gracee, Griffin, Peyton, Noah; great-grandchildren Emmilou, Douglas, and several nieces and nephews, and care-taker Gene LaLone Jr. She was cherished by so many hearts and will be greatly missed. A memorial service will be held on Saturday October 15th at 11 am at the Plainville Christian Church, Plainville, NY. There will be no calling hours. The family wishes to express their sincerest gratitude to the nurses on 5S at Crouse hospital and to Hospice of CNY for the extraordinary care and compassion.
