Jean Rickard, 87, of Cato, passed away Friday, September 29, 2023. She was born at home in Victory, NY on  June 28, 1936, daughter of the late Harold McKay, and the late Ruby Whitford McKay. She spent most of her life devoted to being a homemaker & farmers wife.  She especially loved playing cards, going to the casino, and attending her grandkids sporting events.

She is predeceased by her husband, Bill Rickard (2019), son, Edward Rickard (1982), and sister, Kay Priest.

Survived by her son, Fred (Cheryl) Rickard of Cato, granddaughter, Shannel (Matthew) Cole of Cato, great granddaughter, Avani Cole, her extended family The Clark's, as well as several nieces and nephews. A celebration of Jean's life will take place Saturday, October 14th  from 2:00-5:00 at 1926 St. Rt. 370, Cato, NY 13033.
