Jean A. Mertes, 83, of Cato, passed away Sunday, September 24, 2017 , at the Auburn Nursing And Rehab Center. Jean was born in Marcellus, the daughter of the late Fred Mertes and Effie Cunningham Mertes. She was employed at General Electric in Syracuse prior to her retirement. She was a parishioner of Plainville Christian Church.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her dog Cocoa, and her cat Bright Eyes.
