Janet E. Darling, 83, of Wolcott, passed away at her home Friday, December 04 , 2020. She was born in Wolcott, daughter of the late Earl Gascoigne, and, Frances Ellis Gascoigne. She was a member of the Wolcott/ S. Butler Senior Citizens . Prior to retirement she worked at the Losons Big M in Lyons.

She is predeceased by her husband Sonny (Wyman) Darling (2017), as well as 3 brothers, Bob, Clayte, and Don and 2 sisters, Ruth and Betty.

In the spring she enjoyed working outside in her flowers or just puttering around.  She sure had a variety of birds, hummers, bluebirds, and orioles to name a few and enjoyed watching them. Coffee with the girls at Foster's was the highlight of her day! Some of the girls would go out for supper on a Friday night and she would get all excited because they included her.  She didn't have a bad word to say about anybody!  She would go to all the thrift stores to see what bargain's she would find. She loved to play dominos and UNO.  And mostly just spending time with her friends and family and her kitties. She would always say "life is good".

Survived by her children, Christine Darling of North Rose, and, Ronald (Vicki Wilson) of Seneca Falls, grandsons, Michael and Erik Beniamino of Newark, twin sister Jane (Leon) Rasbeck of Wolcott, as well as several nieces and nephews.  She also leaves her 2 fur baby's,  Snuggles and Snowflake.

A memorial service will take place Saturday, January 09 , 2021, at 1:00 PM,  the Farnsworth-Keysor Funeral Home, 5025 N Main St., North Rose, face masks and social distancing will be required. A celebration of life will take place at an undetermined date in the spring. www.catoredcreek.com
