Herbert "Joe" J. Medley, 83, of Cato, passed away Friday, February 21, 2025. He was born in Elvins, Missouri, February 17, 1942, son of the late Ernest Medley, and the late Roberta Miller Medley. Joe loved his Savior Jesus Christ. He, also, loved mowing the lawn, enjoyed sports and playing cards, but especially loved spending time with his family and grandchildren. Joe always greeted everyone with a smile and a bit of laughter. He truly never met a stranger and was everyone's favorite cheerleader!

He is predeceased by his siblings, Gordon Medley, Alta Younger, Lendell Medley, and Lloyd Medley.

Survived by his wife, Gaylon Knight Medley, daughters, Lori (Sam) Carnicelli of Cato, Cathy Medley of Cato, son, Michael (Eileen) Medley of Durhamville, siblings, Mary Dyer, Carl (Jackie) Medley, Romona Ryno, and Robert (Vicky) Medley, 9 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.
