Evelyn Van Kouwenberg, 99, formerly of Rose, passed away at the Matthews House in Auburn. She was born in Rose, February 6, 1925. She loved knitting, embroidery, reading, crocheting and planting her flowers. She was a housewife and worked beside her husband on the family farm prior to retirement. She is predeceased by her husband, Adrian Van Kouwenberg, son, Steven Van Kouwenbeg, sister, Mildred Reynolds. Survived by her children, Marsha (Kerry) King of Cayuga, Eileen (Ed) VanKouwenberg of Puerto Rico, Larry VanKouwenberg of Hawaii, and Ken Vankouwenberg of Shortsville, sisters, Pearl Dodds of Nova Scotia, and Betty Saleem of Syracuse, as well as 14 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, 7 great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will take place at the Farnsworth-Keysor Funeral Home, Saturday, January 4, 2025, at 11:00 AM at the Farnsworth-Keysor Funeral Home, 5025 Main St., North Rose, a burial will take place at Rose Cemetery in the spring.
