Donald F. Patchett,Sr. , 81, of Cato, passed away Friday, August 12, 2016 , at his home, surrounded by his family. Donald was born April 18, 1935, the son of the late Floyd Patchett and Mildred Klein Patchett. He was employed for many years retiring as an electrical technician at Xerox in Syracuse. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening with his grandchildren.
Besides his parents, Donald is predeceased by one sister Anita Patchett.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Sandra Looker Patchett, one daughter, Michelle (Michael) Lighthall of Cato, one son, Donald (Lisa) F. Patchett Jr. of Auburn, two sisters, Shirley Cotter of N. Syracuse, and Betty Lou Chopskie of E. Syracuase, four grandchildren, Connor Lighthall, Jacob Lighthall, Rachel Lighthall all of Cato, and Caroline Patchett of Auburn, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be Monday, August 15, from 4:00-7:00 at the Keysor-Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home, Cato, funeral services will be Tuesday, at 10:00 AM at the funeral home, burial will follow at Cato Union Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Cato Fire Department Auxillary - PO Box 252, Cato, NY 13033 or the Hospice of the Finger Lakes - 1130 Corporate Drive, Auburn, New York 13021.
