David M. Stahl, 58, of Cato NY, passed away at his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Rochester, and attended Gates Chili high school. Following High school he received a bachelors degree from Syracuse University Newhouse School of Journalism, and SUNY Oswego as well as a masters degree in Hospital Administration from Rochester Institute Of Technology. He was intellectually curious, a loving husband and father who fought a courageous battle with cancer for almost 12 years. He was always eager to learn, and since being sick, has written a blog, "The Cancer Chronicles" Living with Metastatic Cancer (and other topics ). It can be seen at cnystahl.wordpress.com .
He is survived by his wife, Angela L. Stahl, 6 sons, Joshua , Caleb, Nathanial , Zechariah, Tobias, and, Timothy, and 2 daughters, Phoebe, and, Hannah, his parents, Murray Stahl, and, Joanne Stahl nee Agro , sisters Susan Stahl, and, Karen Divito nee Stahl
Calling hours will be Wednesday, January 02, at the Keysor-Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home, Cato NY from 4:00-pm 7:00.pm. A memorial service will be Sunday January 06,11:00 AM at the Rochester Yacht Club, 5555 St. Pail Blvd. Rochester, NY 14617 .Burial will take place in the Spring at Meridian Cemetery. in lieu of flowers David's wishes were for contributions to be made to the BCC Children's Activity Club, 1989 Jones Road , Martville, NY 13111. The family would like to express thir thankfulness for years of support from the community, the school system of Cato Meridian, Our church and our Family.
