David E. Forshee, 66, of Cato, passed away Tuesday, May 12, 2026. He was born in Auburn, son of the late Walter and Virginia Forshee . He worked prior to retirement as a commercial well driller spending work the work week in NYC and New Jersey and returning to his home and roots on the weekend. He enjoyed helping his son on the farm. He started wood working in retirement and turned some beautiful projects on the lathe.

He is predeceased by his son, Zachary Forshee.

Survived by his wife, Valerie Forshee, son, Wesley (Lindsey Denmen) Forshee of Cato, brothers, Wayne Forshee of Geogia, Walter "Jiggs" Forshee of Jamestown, sisters, Sharon (Jim Manley) Forshee of Owasco, Betsey Arena of Pennsylvania, Sue (Richard) Zitrich of PA, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will take place Wednesday, May 20, 2:00-3:30 with words of remembrance at 3:30 at the Keysor-Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home, Cato.
