Clark F. Sponable, 55, of the Town of Ira, passed away Thursday, July 25, 2019, at Upstate University
Hospital after a battle with pancreatic cancer. He was born in Fulton, NY; son of Allyn Sponable and
Lucille White Sponable. He enjoyed farming kidney beans, John Deere Tractors, and driving tractor
trailer. He was recently employed with Gotta Do Contracting, and had driven bus for Cato Meridian
Central School.
He is predeceased by his father Allyn Sponable.
Survived by his mother, Lucille White Sponable, his wife, Tammy Sponable, daughters, Jennifer Sponable
of Ira, Amanda (Joe) Gosnell of North Carolina, sons, Douglas Combes of Victory, and, William Combes III
of Ira, brother, David (Lori) Sponable of Cato, step brothers, Bruce (Joyce) Brown of Phoenix, and, Daryl
Brown of Central Square, step sister, Janice (Brad) Coolidge of Adams Center, goddaughter, Allison Russ
of Baldwinsville, several grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Calling hours will be Tuesday July 30th, 4:00-7:00 at the Keysor-Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home, Cato, a
graveside service will take place 10:00 am Wednesday July 31st,at Pines Plain Cemetery, Clay with a
reception following at the Ira Volunteer Fire Department.
