Fair Haven

Obituary

Bruce E. Hornburg, 64, of Fair Haven, passed away Sunday, September 23, 2019.  He was born in Auburn, New York, son of the late Norris F. Hornburg and Evelyn Wolfe Hornburg.  Bruce was employed as a communications tower builder for the majority of his life, having literally traveled the world erecting communications towers.  He enjoyed nature, hunting, fishing, country music and a great glass of vino, as well as another favorite, "Nectar of the Gods". He was extremely well read and a world traveler visiting at least 68 countries,  making friends everywhere along his life path.  He was a very private man, yet a good friend to many. We will surely miss his keen wit, one liners, jokes and story telling.

He is survived by two sisters, Marilyn (Christopher) Didas, of Mt. Morris, Jacquie Hicks of Oswego, and three brothers, Bob(Janet Muckey), of Fair Haven, Bill, of Victory, Ted (Linda Murphy), of Victory, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A remembrance celebration of Bruce's life will take place at Little Sodus Inn, on October 4th, 2019,  at 5:30 p.m. For those wishing to make contributions in lieu of flowers, they may do so to The Victory Fire Department, 12009 NY -38, Cato, N.Y. 13033, or the National Kidney Foundation, 731 James Street, #200, Syracuse, N.Y. 13203.
