Bert Anson, 77, of Sterling, passed away Wednesday, February 21, 2024. He was born in Gouverneur, son of the late Frances Anson, and the late Eleanor Branch Anson. Bert retired from Alcan then he started a construction excavating company. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed the outdoors. His biggest joy in life were his children and grandchildren in his family.

He is predeceased by his brothers, Francis, Walter, Arthur, William, and Mitchel.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Linda Brooks Anson, sons, Richard (Melanie) Anson, Robert Anson, daughter, Kelly (Jerry) Field, 6 grandchildren, Richard, Jerry, Logan, Dakota, Ariana, Kira, 2 great granddaughters, Hayden, Aubreelyn, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be Monday, February 26, 2:00-4:00 with a service at 4:00 at the Becker-Keysor Funeral Home, Red Creek. A burial will take place in the spring at Springbrook Cemetery in Sterling.
