April Hoag, 65, of Cato, passed away Saturday, November 13, 2021, at her home surrounded by family.
She was born in Malone, NY, daughter of the late Martin McNamara, and Beverly Leduc. Shortly after
high school she married her husband, Steven Hoag. She worked tirelessly at their family business, Hoag
Drywall, with her husband and sons. She enjoyed searching the beach for seashells, treasure hunting for
antiques, and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Steven, daughter, Alicin (Bill) Welsh of Victory, sons,
Brandon (Katie) Hoag of Martville, and Cody Hoag of Cato, sister, Lonnie (John) Meaux of Alabama,
brothers, Calvin (Chris) McNamara of Bombay, and Jami (Shilo) Leduc of Bombay, grandchildren, Caleb,
Elias, Camren, Carsen, Kennedi, and Devlin.
A private memorial service will take place at the Keysor-Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home, Cato, burial to take
place at an undetermined date at the Cato Union Cemetery. For those wishing to make contributions in
