Andrew Thomas Strong
June 24, 1977–April 15, 2025
Tommy was greeted in Heaven on April 15th by his father, Andrew Dean Strong; his
mother, Janis Lynne Strong (Boas); and his great-nephew, Kingston Herzog. He is
continued to be loved and missed by his older brother, Darren (Peggy) Strong; his
younger sister, Stacey (Raymond Jr.) Herzog; and his two beautiful daughters, Skyler
Parrow-Strong and Mersadie (Mason) Strong. Haylee Lunkenheimer is also considered
a daughter by Tom, who stole his heart at a very young age. Tommy is also survived by
his four nephews, Jordan Herzog, Ethan Strong, Raymond Herzog III, and Joey Herzog,
and two nieces, Mariah Herzog and Sydney (Dominique) Strong. Tommy's soulmate
was Alyson Lee, the mother of his daughter Sadie. Julie DeForest (Rogers) big heart
adopted Thomas as her son in his early 20's.
Tommy was born in Newark, New Jersey, but moved to NY at a very young age, were
he resided and spent his childhood years and even early adulthood on Liberty Street in
Meridian, NY. You could find Tom in his teenage years on any farm milking cows,
throwing bales of hay, or behind the wheel of a tractor. Tommy loved to be behind the
wheel of anything with a motor, especially a 5.0! In his early adulthood, Tom worked as
an automotive mechanic until later in life when Tom found his true talent and love as an
arborist. There wasn't a tree that stood tall enough or round enough that he couldn't cut
his way through. Tom had a sense of humor that turned any frown upside down and
ultimately gained him a huge following of friends. Tommy lived his remaining years on
Laird Road in Jordan, NY, with Kari Metz.
In remembrance of Tom, we would like to plant a tree with a plaque at the Meridian Park
across from his childhood home on Liberty Street for friends and family to visit. In lieu of
any donations to help with the purchase of the tree and plaque, we ask that they be sent
to Mersadie Strong's Venmo account @sadiestrong813. The remainder of the donations
will go to his two daughters, Skyler and Sadie, evenly. A celebration of life will be
announced at a later date.
